We came across the matriarch and a few other elephant members in the sprite. They were trying to drink water out of a natural spring. As we sat there, my guests were very interested in how the older elephant would show the younger ones, where to suck water from and how to dig with their foot to clear away the rocks blocking the spring. It was truly an amazing sighting to view.
On one of the afternoon drives, I came across a heron that was playing with a frog in its mouth for a while the after about 10 minutes decide to eat it, after it finished with the frog it moved on to try catch anther one, at this point the frogs had moved off and the heron ran out of luck and flew to a nearby dam to try its luck there.
